Introducing FfvB Subscriptions!! With subscriptions, you can now view all your favorite forums in one tab, with regular reloading at intervals of your choosing. That means that you don't have to bounce back and forth between tabs and you don't have to constantly be hitting reload on them all! Visit a forum and either press the link in the bottom bar that says "Subscribe" or right click anywhere in the window and choose "FfvB Management > Subscribe". This will add the forum to your list of subscriptions. Once you have subscribed to the forums you would like to read, right click and choose "FfvB Management > View Subscriptions" to open your subscription window in a new tab. The window will dynamically make your subscriptions fit into the window and load up the list of threads. By default, the forums will auto reload every 60 seconds on their own, or you can press the green icon in the bottom right corner to force a reload any time you choose. Pressing the red x icon will unsubscribe that forum. You can change the reload delay at any time by opening the FfvB Preferences window and going to the Extras tab, then choose the Subscribe sub tab. The forum subscription view allows you to click on the forum titles to open that forum, the thread titles to open that thread and the usernames to open the user profiles. Because this is a XUL file, however, you can not right click on anything in this view. So you will need to open the forum up to interact with it in a normal fashion. The "Subscribe" link in the bottom bar can be removed in the FfvB Preferences if you simply will never use the subscription feature. All ignored threads and users and keywords will not be displayed in the subscription view. |
